At the last stop in their hometown of Montreal, the 26-year-old man was confident enough to organised for two friends to roll out a sign that said: "(W)ill you marry me" behind the couple as they took a photo holding the final W.
When the man showed his girlfriend the photo, he got down on one knee and quickly pulled out an engagement ring - to an emphatic and overwhelmed "yes".
A friend recorded the proposal on video and the video, along with a montage of the couples’ pictures, was uploaded on YouTube.
